VECOM LAB LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Redira Shopify app and the website at redira.app. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Data we collect
To provide the Redira redirect tracking service, we collect and process the following data:
- Shop data: Your Shopify shop domain and shop-related identifiers necessary to connect the app to your store.
- Account and contact data: Shop owner email and contact email as provided by Shopify or by you when contacting support.
- Redirect configuration data: The redirects you create or manage in your store (e.g. path, destination URL) so that we can track clicks on those redirects.
- Aggregated click data: Total number of clicks per redirect. This is used to show redirect performance in the app dashboard. We do not collect IP addresses, user agents, or other data that identifies individual visitors as part of this click counting.
- Session and authentication data: Data provided by Shopify for authentication and session management when you use the app (e.g. OAuth tokens, session identifiers).
- Support interaction data: Information you provide when contacting support (e.g. via live chat), including messages, email address (if provided), and related technical data.
- Usage and analytics data: Information about how users interact with our website (e.g. pages visited, interactions, approximate location, device/browser data), collected via analytics tools.
Why we collect this data
We use this data to: operate the Redira app; link click events to your redirects and show you performance metrics; authenticate you and maintain your session; improve the service and fix issues; and communicate with you (e.g. support, important service updates). We do not sell your data to third parties. We may use data collected through analytics and advertising tools to understand how users interact with our website and to measure or optimise our marketing campaigns.
Customer personal data
Redira is designed to track redirect clicks (e.g. how many times a link was clicked). As part of this functionality, we do not collect or store personal data of your store's customers (end visitors), and we only use aggregated click counts.
However, we may process limited personal data in other contexts, such as when you contact us for support (e.g. via live chat or email). This may include your email address, messages, and related technical data.
We do not use such data to identify individual visitors for tracking purposes, and we process it only to provide support and operate the service.
Customer support and messaging
We use a third-party customer support and messaging service, Crisp, to provide live chat and support on our website.
When you interact with the chat, Crisp may collect and process personal data such as:
- messages you send
- your email address (if provided)
- technical data (e.g. IP address, browser information)
Crisp processes this data on our behalf as a service provider (data processor) in accordance with applicable data protection laws to enable us to respond to inquiries and provide support.

When you uninstall Redira from your Shopify store, we stop collecting new data for your shop. We will delete or anonymise your shop’s data within a reasonable period in line with our retention practices and applicable law. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
Your rights
