Introduction
VECOM LAB LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Redira Shopify app and the website at redira.app. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Data we collect
To provide the Redira redirect tracking service, we collect and process the following data:
- Shop data: Your Shopify shop domain and shop-related identifiers necessary to connect the app to your store.
- Account and contact data: Shop owner email and contact email as provided by Shopify or by you when contacting support.
- Redirect configuration data: The redirects you create or manage in your store (e.g. path, destination URL) so that we can track clicks on those redirects.
- Aggregated click data: Counts of clicks per redirect (e.g. number of clicks per link). This is used to show you redirect performance in the app dashboard.
- Session and authentication data: Data provided by Shopify for authentication and session management when you use the app (e.g. OAuth tokens, session identifiers).
Why we collect this data
We use this data to: operate the Redira app; link click events to your redirects and show you performance metrics; authenticate you and maintain your session; improve the service and fix issues; and communicate with you (e.g. support, important service updates). We do not use your data for advertising or sell your data to third parties.
Customer personal data
Redira is designed to track redirect clicks (e.g. how many times a link was clicked). We do not intentionally collect or store personal data of your store’s customers (end visitors). We focus on aggregated click counts and redirect configuration. If our systems process any such data incidentally (e.g. in server logs), we do not use it to identify individuals and we treat it in line with this policy and applicable law.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your data. We may share data only where necessary: with service providers that help us run the app (e.g. hosting, analytics) under strict confidentiality; when required by law or to protect our rights; or with your consent.
Uninstall and data deletion
When you uninstall Redira from your Shopify store, we stop collecting new data for your shop. We will delete or anonymise your shop’s data within a reasonable period in line with our retention practices and applicable law. You may also contact us at support@redira.app to request deletion of your data.
Security and retention
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, or to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@redira.app. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, where appropriate, notify you via the app or email. Continued use of Redira after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
